Riverside Community Sports Hall

Riverside Primary is working with local partners and Quattro Architects to build a new, four-court sports hall facility to improve access to wellbeing opportunities and build a strong healthy resilient community in South Wye.

For children to achieve they need to have a strong, positive network around them to learn from, depend upon and feel safe within.

This is a collaborative community project intended to build strength within the community, raise aspirations and ultimately improve outcomes.

The project will:

• Positively impact the health and wellbeing of pupils and the local community

• Enable an enhanced extra-curricular sports offering

• Provide a safe and secure facility for wraparound care

• Give every year group a dedicated area for lunch

• Relieve timetable pressure so that PE lessons run continuously

• Provide a base for holiday clubs during school holidays

• Rectify the inadequacies of the existing undersized hall

• Offer rentable, self-contained space for the community
